Description
Description
The Lapierre ProRace 4.9 is a fast mountain bike with an excellent price-performance ratio.
Good foundation
The slender aluminium frame of the Lapierre ProRace looks beautiful, especially in this gorgeous green colour. With the sophisticated geometry, it handles very well and makes for an aggressive sitting position you'll love. The RockShox Judy Gold fork has 100 mm of suspension travel and uses a remote lockout on the handlebars. All this together makes for a great foundation of the bike.
Quality parts
The parts on the ProRace 4.9 MTB are well chosen. Shifting and braking go as they should and the tyres also perform well.
If you're looking for a fast and modern aluminium mountain bike, the Lapierre ProRace 4.9 is an excellent choice.
The core of the ProRace 4.9 is the modern aluminium frame. It has a nice slim design and is right up to date with a tapered headset and boost wheel fit. With its aggressive sitting position, it invites you to go as fast as possible both when going up and down. Add the RockShox Judy Gold suspension fork and you have a great foundation.
SRAM drivetrain
The SRAM equipment consists of a fine mix of SX parts and and a GX rear derailleur. With the 11-50t cassette, you are never short of gear options. Shifting gears is always smooth and intuitive, even in poorer conditions.
Good brakes
The Shimano MT401 hydraulic disc brakes are easy to modulate and provide high braking power to give you the confidence to accept the challenges of descending.
Maxxis tyres
The ProRace 4.9 comes with a Maxxis Ardent 2.25 front tyre and a Maxxis Ikon 2.20 rear tyre. This is a great combination which ensures low rolling resistance yet high grip in the most diverse conditions.
